No Impact Without Investment: A Call for Strategic Alliances for Children in Bolivia
Thanks to collective efforts and community-based work, we are celebrating historic milestones:
- Law 1010 on disaster risk management,
- Law 1146 to prevent adolescent pregnancy,
- Ministerial Resolution 001/2024 guaranteeing school enrollment for migrant children, and
- the GAIE initiative in Chuquisaca, which has supported over 17,000 cases of school-based violence.
But none of this would have been possible without the technical and financial investment that enabled these initiatives to be designed, sustained, and scaled. From the New Business Development (NBD) team at Save the Children, we continue to seek committed allies to ensure these hard-won gains are not lost. Without sustained funding, these transformative changes risk being undermined or forgotten.
We make an urgent appeal to foundations, companies, bilateral agencies, and institutional donors: let’s co-finance the future of public policies that are already changing lives. We need to join forces to replicate proven models, such as the School for Families, and to strengthen youth engagement platforms that are delivering concrete results.
The time is now. Bolivia’s children cannot wait.
